The verdict
If you want the classic polished stainless-steel frame, lid and plunger, and are happy to pay around £36, the Chambord is the design pick, though only one was left when we checked. If you just want the same 1-litre borosilicate-glass beaker and stainless-steel plunger filter in a lightweight black frame for around £12, the Caffettiera is the value option.
